CHAP: COMMUNITY HEALTH ACCREDITATION PARTNER AWARDS BETTERLEAVE ITS “CHAP VERIFIED” STATUS.

Austin, Texas — February 26, 2025 — CHAP is pleased to announce that Betterleave, a family caregiver communications platform, has achieved CHAP Verified status, granted to tools and resources used by community-based care providers that, through rigorous inspection, show no roadblocks to executing the CHAP Standards of Excellence, and innovate to improve the delivery of high-quality care.

CHAP conducted a thorough product survey to verify that Betterleave’s platform allows organizations to meet the intent of CHAP’s applicable standards.

"Betterleave is a robust communication platform through which agencies can provide a powerful support system, rich with resources, to support families and caregivers through the grieving process," said Teresa Harbour, COO of CHAP.

Through personalized, text-based communication and resources, Betterleave enables post-acute organizations to gather, analyze and respond to feedback that increases referrals, improves online reviews, boosts team morale and ultimately grows business. Their programs streamline communication across active care, bereavement and discharge.

"We're honored to be recognized by CHAP as we continue partnering with home health, palliative, and hospice organizations—meeting family caregivers where they are. With 80% of adults in the U.S. preferring text over phone calls, we’re focused on delivering support through the channels they actually use, backed by data-driven insights that make a difference," said Cara McCarty Abbott, CEO of Betterleave.
